My John Deere BN came adorned with some primer paint on the grill and a couple other spots from someone long ago starting a restoration but then moving out of state and abandoning the project. The brown paint makes the tractor look unsightly. The lichen growing on the thing doesn't help.
Yesterday I decided to scuff up the brown primer and do a light coat of paint from a spray can that was almost out. Literally five minutes later, the tractor looks pretty good. Yes, the air cleaner is still brown but it doesn't show up as much as the brown hood primer did. I also removed the two small tie-down chains a previous owner bolted to the frame under the grill, as I never used them. Ok, time to sell....
