Oliver 60 - Straightening Radiator Grilles and Nameplate

The grilles and radiator shroud are in OK condition but I really do need to try and straighten things out as much as possible.

There have been several Yellow Jacket bees hibernating on this tractor. This one was behind the Oliver nameplate.

This next photo shows how bent the nameplate was.

It's not perfect but nobody will notice it. And the edges that still look bent are the factory made wrap around edges that get thinner towards the bottom.

Such a nice looking badge.

I think the dark green paint color is what the tractor was originally.

Below shows a little wobbliness on one edge of the radiator shroud. This is one bend part of many that had to be dealt with.

The finished product below.

The grille halves weren't too bad but working with semi-delicate stuff like this takes time and patience.

Repairs are pretty much complete, other than one area that still needs work at the bottom edge of the shroud. Two square chunks of steel have been cut out and I need to weld in some patches. Oh, and the grille halves used to have little riveted spring clips holding the outer edges to the shroud. They are all broken off and screws were installed to hold the grilles on (you can see the screws in the first photo). I will need to weld up the holes and figure out what to do for clips. But won't this "new" nose look great on the ol' 60 Standard?
