Singer 185K base

The Singer 185K I recently acquired was my first of this type. Normally a sewing machine has feet so it can stand on it's own, but this 185K doesn't have feet at the left (bobbin) end, so a large screw on the oscillating assembly rubs on the table when the machine is running.
I couldn't have that, so I set about building a base for the machine using some surplus 3/4" bed rail. I added a 3/16" piece of plywood for the bottom. I had to chisel out a few areas so the machine would fit flat on the recessed lip.

The sewing machine is a snug fit so the base stays with the machine when I pick it up.
